Mission Statement
MicroTek’s mission is to provide employment support to individuals with disabilities, in a self-sustaining, community-based manufacturing setting, with a focus on those with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
We do this by:
- Providing a safe and accessible environment that focuses on employing individuals with disabilities
- Ensuring that everyone is given the training and support needed to perform quality cable and assembly work to our customers’ standards.
- Fostering a community of respect, responsibility, and recognition of everyone’s contributions to our success.
- Advocating for our corporate community to support meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities.
OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1983, our mission was and continues to be about connecting people as well as electronic parts. From our humble beginnings MicroTek has grown steadily, continually adding customers and new projects that increased employment. Along the way, we acquired tooling, industry knowledge and marketing savvy and began growing – all while fostering a corporate culture that includes and values diversity and differences. As a not-for-profit, our goal has never been the bottom-line, rather, we search for the right partners and opportunities that help us expand our mission. More than forty years later that is still true: We have shown that a successful company can support a diverse and integrated workforce.
